Plus, I am also firmly of the belief that guns are tools. Tools with great capacity to do harm, yes. But still tools. It ultimately boils down to how it's used. Which I know is kinda useless as an argument, but it's actually true. A gun is a pile of metal and powder until you decide to use it.
Yeah. It's so staggeringly uncommon for people to be taught actual history, instead of the fucking rosey bullshit that white people spew out this day and age.
I do wish we all lived in a world where we did not have guns, did not need to know how to use them, or be afraid of someone using one on us. But we live in this world. Dislike guns all you want. Gun control was inherently built on racist laws to disarm Black people. I don't like that.
