at some point you can't keep hiding behind an anxiety shield and you will have to grapple with learning how to effectively & properly communicate with other adults. it isn't the easiest thing to do; complacency will always be easier. but you'll be even More uncomfortable if you continue to avoid it

a memory from japan i have that still makes me giggle a little is when we were walking up to the self-checkout kiosks at uniqlo, an employee saw us, smiled, then immediately hit the "english" button on the kiosk for us without us saying anything. like thank you but girl have some faith in us 😭
avoiding conflict indefinitely & letting your resentment build up because you can't be bothered to endure a bit of minor + temporary discomfort is a disservice to everyone you meet & even yourself

I started crying (already cried at the show. emotionally vulnerable. you know) because I held cheese & he purred a couple of times then sprawled out on me. I have never felt more honored
walked in the room to give my fiancé some coffee I made them & the pigs started yelling at me demanding it 😭 ?
