Tomorrow we celebrate 5 years of #KidLitArtPostcard - there is an optional theme of "You, as a kid". I can't wait to see everyone's work across social media! And thank you to all the children's book illustrators for making this a joyous event each month!!!! #kidlit
Dive into the Monterey Bay this Sunday at the Bay Area Book Festival in Berkeley!
Be there at NOON, fins on, and learn how to swim like a salp, comb jelly, sea angel, and more!
Hope we don't lose any swimmers to hungry predators on our journey! Whatever happens, keep paddling!

I hate when I accidentally paint my tiger, but Mark Hoffmann sure makes it look fun 🤩
Me, as a kid… watching puddles in the rain, imagining each drop turning into a tiny, dewy creature. I called them “Doodle Dangfods” 🤷♀️ and spent a lot of time convincing other kids they were real.
Happy 5 years of #KidLitArtPostcard!

Hesitant to dump paint water bc it’s such a pretty color right now! It usually looks like mud! #kidlitart
I was struggling to swap back to my soon-to-be-due book art after working on my #KidLitArtPostcard piece. Only to learn the thing I was procrastinating on, I already did... like 3 weeks ago. 🫠 #KidLitArt
Tatjana is a ridiculously talented and caring human! Check out her work!
I was looking for something in art drawers and found the cover painting for this book so I thought I’d share. Madagascar’s spiny forest is one of my facorite ecosystems so when I found out the Sonoran Desert also had ocotillos (via convergent evolution) I had to include it! #kidlitart
