We're still waiting to hear back from the Pentagon about how they decided how to consolidate these categories. Their "explanation" — that less information somehow helps chaplains better do their job — still doesn't hold water.

NEW: After pushback from Congressional members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Pentagon has released the new Religious Affiliation Code list without specifying which groups are Christian.
Previously, the tradition was not listed as Christian (last week's list on right).
