It also has absolutely no chance of passing should National leadership do the absolute ethical minimum - and exactly what Luxon did upon becoming leader in relation to conversion practices - and allow National MPs to vote with their consciences at second reading. Luxon should be pushed on this.
Grim. National and ACT backing a bill - at least at first reading - which fundamentally undermines the self-ID law both parties voted for *unanimously* just a few years ago.
