Our latest cover now out in @chemicalscience.rsc.org
✨🐯✨
Big thanks to @chemcomm.rsc.org for the smooth handling, and as always to the @erc.europa.eu for funding! ✨🪙✨
Great synthetic efforts from Leo and Emeric, and amazing computational input from @isra-group.bsky.social, smooth as always! 🙏
And big thanks to the funders, @erc.europa.eu and the
@chemieverband.bsky.social 💰
The latest from the team, and the first for (Bluesky-less) Emeric Schubert 🥳
He uncovered unexpected Ge-H reactivity in the coordination sphere of Ni: dehydrocoupling of Ge-H w/ Si-H bonds, and some neat cycloaddition chem! 🧪 Very cool.

Great computational insights from @isra-group.bsky.social showing a pathway via Mg-ketenyl, in contrast to known Mg and Ca hydride chemistry 💻
And big big thanks for the funding from @dfg.de and @erc.europa.eu
💸
Our first foray into heavier group 2 chemistry, and the first paper from @maltekubisz.bsky.social 🥳 in @chemcomm.rsc.org 🧪
We show that carbon monoxide readily inserts into Mg-C bonds without need for a catalyst, opening new paths in catalysis using CO⚡️

The latest from the group, now out in @angewandtechemie.bsky.social 🥳
We've accessed heavier alkyne-transition metal complexes which show σ-complex character, in contrast to classical π-complexation 😲 All held together by chelation 🧪🫂🧪
