Hello, I’m James, and Landscape Photographer from Yorkshire, UK. I’m currently building my 2025 portfolio and will be sharing it in December. Here are some of my favourite photographs from 2024. Thanks so much to everyone who comments, likes and follows even when I haven’t posted for months!
I thought I’d do an introduction post as it seems the way on here. I’m a professional photographer specializing in the ocean and the coast it carves. I’m lucky to be represented by some good galleries. I also teach workshops. I’ve been full-time for 9 years now - went fast!

Scotland 🏴 has so many beautiful places, but my absolute favourite has to be the big open landscapes of Assynt & Coigach. I can’t wait to be back there this month. It’s truly where my heart is.

I need not be afraid of Color.
With the word "diversity" floating around these days, I feel like I need to include more color images in my portfolio.
I love that I do BW. But I no longer feel that I need to exclude a pretty color image now and then.
