We later returned to Madrid to attend another event organized by Buldú, Martínez, and the @F_Sicomoro, focused on astrobiology and complexity and featuring keynote speaker @saraimari.bsky.social.
Henryk then gave a keynote talk at @dagstuhl.de event in Germany, and discussed a range of topics focused on complexity and interdisciplinarity with the researchers there, including fellow speaker Norbert Fuhr and event organizers Bahadir Eryilmaz and Mikel Bahn.
From Turin we travelled to Trieste to meet and discuss collaborations with Marcelo Knobel, Giovanni Ortagnali, and others at the TWAS offices. We also met with Ralf Kaiser and Atish Debalkhar at @ictp.bsky.social, and then with Alessandro Laio at SISSA.
In May and June, The InterPlex was invited to attend and deliver talks at a series of fascinating, collaborative, and impactful conferences and institutional visits in Spain, Italy, and Germany.
From Germany we finally returned to our headquarters in Boston to attend the dynamic @netsciconf.bsky.social, organized by the @netscisociety.bsky.social and @northeasternu.bsky.social's @nunetsi.bsky.social.
We thank all of our hosts, and look forward to sharing what emerged from these visits.
We then travelled to Turin, Italy to meet with @ccattuto.bsky.social, Daniela Paolotti, @gozziale.bsky.social, Hubert Beroche, @mattiamazzoli.bsky.social, and others at @isi.it. There Henryk delivered a talk about The InterPlex and explored a range of aligned interests.
From there The InterPlex went to Madrid for visits with Javier Buldú and @johannhm.bsky.social @urjc.bsky.social, to meet with @darmenteras.bsky.social and other members of her new institute in Madrid, CSIC (INIA-ICIFOR), and Javier Galeano at @upm.es.
We also attended a “Football Analytics” workshop in Madrid centered around complex networks, data science, and soccer, organized by Buldú and other members of his research team, such as Julieta Schwartz Cerveny, and #LaLiga.
After the inspiring @complenet.bsky.social, where InterPlex founder Daniel Henryk Rasolt collaborated with UNAL professor and InterPlex board member Rafael Hurtado, we visited Jordi Soriano at his neurophysics lab at @ub.edu and participated in a vibrant public science event at the university.
