I look to northern light
the shine
that keeps me
standing
when all around
have bowed
or broken
or withered
or simply given up
I keep focus
on the ever-promise of "what if"
and should I be called
a silly dreamer... illogical or daft
I use that as a reminder
to keep looking forward
not aft
