RepeatMasker 4.2.4 released! This version adds support for the new FamDB format used in Dfam 4.0. FamDB's component-based framework allows users to download only the portions of the TE database they need. See the www.repeatmasker.org page for more release details.
Dfam 4.0 has been released. With over 7 million TE families spanning 6130 species, Dfam continues to grow through genome sequencing and community submissions. This release also introduces an improved FamDB format, making it easier to obtain only the data you need. Release notes: tinyurl.com/6dzwu4w8
