I think that because New England is generally considered and based around the locus of Boston and it's all so very small, it's pretty easy to forget that outside of the Boston and Stanford metros (Providence is a Boston suburb idgaf what y'all say) it's pretty much the very end tip of Appalachia
Oh I'm catching up on the platner stuff with the maine primary and I have to say it's clear none of y'all have been to maine or the more northern parts of New England because NH and ME are just kind of filled with violent racist white men. I saw more Confederate flags in NH than in Georgia.
Platner is clearly what I call a Joe Rogan liberal, which is a general white guy with bad politics who has some vague economically progressive ideals because they're more widely popular with the public but hasn't deconstructed literally anything about his life.
