Here you can see how relative time budgets differ between working students who see themselves as ‘workers‘ vs ‘students‘.
The largest difference can be seen in 🇫🇮 Finland and 🇸🇪 Sweden: ‘workers’ time budget is higher by 23% compared to ‘students’ time budget of a typical week.

Students across countries spend approximately 90% of their monthly expenses on living costs. In 🇫🇮 Finland, 🇩🇰 Denmark, 🇸🇪 Sweden, and 🇪🇪 Estonia, that share reaches 96% or even more — largely because so few students pay tuition fees.
In the Nordic countries, fee-paying students make up 3% or less.
Did you know that certain higher education institution types tend to be socially selected?
For example, institutions with very high student–staff ratios tend to enroll more students from affluent, highly educated family backgrounds than better-staffed HEIs.
