“Ashes & Diamonds” is a beautiful film that resonantes with me all these years later. In it, the protagonists are a polish resistance unit on the day the Nazis have evacuated Warsaw. Now their faced with a choice, support the new Soviet occupiers or keep resisting for true Polish independence.
In line for the weirdest day of my life
We’re living in the “Veep” universe
So far so weird!
Anyway I’m thinking about this movie today, as I contemplate supporting democrats to beat the present day nazi occupation of our country… once the job is done will we support our “liberators” fully or will we keep resisting and fighting for better results?
(I don’t want to spoil the ending but the films genre is “heroic fatalism” so guess what happens to everyone…)
Seriously
I’m at six flags where I can’t do shit cuz of my motion sickness but I found a bar with the Sox game and modelo on draft, just sitting here now like the king of all dads. If there’s one thing my dad taught me it’s how to disengage with the world.
