There are still wonderful human beings around. Yesterday I went to Twickenham for the rugby premiership final; they were good tickets and had cost a lot of money. As I've done on three other occasions, I used a 'park on my drive' affair - and turned up to find the drive was fully occupied by one SUV

I love all of Ed's books, but I think After the Fall stole my heart just a little more than the rest - it's funny, wise, and sharp in equal measure, and is an excellent jumping on point for the Ed Ashton train of humorous, heartfelt SF.
