to be clear this is not me running defense for AI, this is a post born out of frustration that AIslop has become so prevalent that i can no longer look at some boxart that might just be kind of ass and laugh, i now have to spend time digging to figure out whether it's ass in the nightmare way or not
like, nomura is normally quite good at what he does but when i can straight up see the halfassed lineart coloring and generic CSP round brush i'm kinda inclined to believe it's just bad in a normal way
if i'm being so for real i think we might have to confront the idea that that KH boxart might not be AI it just organically kinda sucks ass
like i'm looking over the hi-res image and i can see areas that were clearly gone over with a clipped layer to color the lineart, but poorly, because a bunch of spots were missed; the backgrounds looks like they're just screenshots run through Clip Studio Paint's ugly ass "painting" filter
