Some great #illustratingMath in the making, wish I could be there.
If you are an #AssistantProfessor or #Postdoc and are interested in applying for a #Veni grant, join us for these events to hear from awardees and reviewers. We will have dedicated sessions for all domains of NWO and ZonMw.
I've been exploring this family of patterns.
These are torus knots/links with 3n crossings (for n = 0,..., 5) on odd-sized Rubik's cubes from 3 layers through 13 layers.
I tried to make the colors exactly the same, but the even links forced me to use edges from the r/w/b half of the cube.
This absolutely resonates with my experience. I'm three years into my (supposedly) eight year Academic Career Track, with a midterm next year and I have absolutely no clear grasp as to what's expected of me (except, more, of course). #AcademicSky
