At the same event, Julia Soika received the Rectory Prize for her excellent doctoral dissertation at our faculty. One of the cutting-edge topics in her thesis was the application of a well-known versatile thermal Aluminum-Salen catalyst in #photocatalysis. Congratulations!

Join us for our annual christmas lecture on December 16th at 5 pm in the lecture hall C1. This year, Uwe Karst and Michael Holtkamp explore the fascination of light under the topic "Let there be light!". How do we perceive it? How can we make colorful light? And how does chemistry come into play?
Great news for our young researchers: The international research training group (IRTG) "Functional pi-Systems: Activation, Interaction and Application (pi-Sys)" @uni-muenster.de is funded by the DFG for additional 4.5 years. Many thanks to the whole IRTG-team for their long-standing dedication!

Professional Analyses by high school students: This week, more than 100 chemistry enthusiasts from 6 regional schools are visiting the Karst-Labs. At the annual event "LK Lab Instrumental Analysis" they take up the lab coat and use our state-of-the-art instruments to solve everyday analytical tasks.
