I feel like the psychology changes if framed more like Patreon, where you offer tiers with differing rewards and include shoutouts for large sponsors. That gives people/groups with a budget for supporting their causes some type of incentive that increases their public profile.

People are likely weighing against other recurring charges they already pay and the perceived value of those. Unfortunately that probably means a streaming service that they make heavy use of and costs them ~$10/month (w/ ads). A proportional fraction of that is going to end up in the $2-$5 range. š

I did spot an issue on iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 26.5) using Safari (maybe other devices/browsers). These two images are large enough that it allows the page to scroll horizontally and when using your right thumb to scroll upwards you can accidentally slide it left and have it stay there.
