If I had a law degree, I would get some lawyer friends together to start a nonprofit focused on suing police departments and cities for wrongful arrest and incarceration based on "AI" and facial recognition Drain their coffers and eliminate the large police contracts these companies need. Win-win

Starting to wonder why I've never seen promotion for an "Ethical Uses of Culturally-Responsive Pedagogy" event , nor an "Ethical Uses of Meditation."
Very much looking forward to this upcoming "Ethical Use of Things You Know Are in Fact not Ethical, as Indicated by the Inclusion of 'Ethical' as a Distinguishing Adjective-slash-Claim in Your Title" webinar.
Irony of not-so-secretly wanting take the week off from my job so I can do some reading & study & writing. (Working through a campus' "Spring Break" will do things to a person, is part of what I think I'm saying.)
Finally actually confused a reference to Nick Cave as being a reference to Cave (band from mid-00s psych experimental cd-r / tapes scenes that I'm surprised/stoked to learn apparently eventually landed on Drag City, now that I'm looking them up on Discogs), as I first saw bound to happen circa 2007.
That fun† thing where the quiz feature of the LMS your campus was forced to move to isn't working on the first day back from Spring Break.

In thinking about this more, I remembered two things we learned in reference class when I was in library school: 1. People are usually very satisfied with reference services even when librarians give the wrong answer 2. People ask friends on facebook before they ask experts (and they trust it more)
