DC election anecdata: I had lunch yesterday with 3 Ward 3 old people. 1 was voting for KMcD, 2 for JLG. Interestingly, the 1 who was voting for Kenyan was extremely excited about ranked choice voting. She said it made her feel better to be able to give a 2nd choice vote rather than all or nothing.
