As we step towards pride month.. this time with myself as a parent to a child who identifies as Enby & Aro/Ace.
Your most important job as a parent is to Love your child for who they are, and where they're at.
You support their choices, and always stand ready to catch them when they need you.
Dear parents of kids with #ARFID if you will take one small piece of advice from a mom who has been in the trenches of this disorder for 19 years, please take this one.
NEVER serve food in its packaging.
Always decant it into a generic bowl or plate.
Packaging changes risk loss of safe foods.

Never EVER under appreciate being able to dress yourself
One day you'll have a crappy spine and uncooperative hip and have to lasso your foot with your pants & trousers to get them on because you cant bend to reach due to the pain, all while thinking FML
Dresses & going commando are calling to me.
