A drop in the bucket or not, new and meaningful pressure on already taxed water and power systems is worth worrying about. I don't care if golf courses use more water than AI. Enough whataboutism. There is nowhere in the US where AI data centers would not raise your costs and lower your service.

SpaceX fucked up its frontier model data center architecture. A core requirement was linking distant campuses for distributed training. The data centers got built but the connection plan failed. Leasing them to Anthropic and Google is just recouping losses on a costly, failed build.
