I am an insignifacant pion with just an art history degree, but I do know once the repugs allowed the claws of the relgious right into their ranks, they seized being a valid functioning political movement.......christian nationalism is a disease in this country.

Referring to modern day #Republicans as a disease, is offensive to diseases. The #GOP has absolutely become the worst of humanity! Hope Americans vote accordingly in the upcoming mid-terms. 🤬🤮
1950s Republicans worked with Democrats to make sure gov't programs were funded. Taxes were more equitable, and the wealthiest paid closer to their fair share. There was horrible bullshit, as there is today (racism, etc.), but it was the most prosperous time in U.S. history.
