Growing up having to sneak to watch Star Trek late at night, or to work on coding, because of being mocked if I did that while my family was awake, I very much feel this.
Here I am, 41, still struggle to sleep before midnight, despite living only with a loving, accepting wife.
Been doodling a bit to try out procreate on my new iPad.
I don't normally share calls for mutual aid like this, but Izolde is someone that I know is in a bad state due to the general crap situation of our career field just getting demolished. She's always been one to help others whenever possible. I've already put my money where my mouth is & donated
My flight was cancelled due to weather, so after I was rebooked, I got myself to the new gate as this wheelchair was one I could operate solo. Still a pain to do with luggage though. O'Hare and MSY, your crews for helping the disabled suck. American, your crews were great at making up for the others
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS BAD MUTHA...
(shut your mouth)
So far, I have to say, this trip has been the worst for dealing with accessibility. Leaving New Orleans, couldn't get a wheelchair pusher, and couldn't do it myself because the wheels aren't where the person in the chair has access to them.
This kinda hits on why some of us trans girls have had an interest in cheerleading. Yeah, there's an awesome book series too, but that's only part of it
No king but fucking.
Ended up waiting about 40 minutes before an American ticket desk person helped me get to the gate. When I landed in Chicago, the person sent to assist didn't bring a chair. Just grabbed my bag and expected me to follow. American flight staff were all super kind, making sure I got to the next gate.
trans women have been trying for years to explain that the anti-abortion and anti-trans movements are ultimately the same movement and these bastards just come out and say it
