It’s already difficult to accept the fact that I had to explain consent to them, but the mental gymnastics that goes on in their minds to justify other men’ sexual assault is frightening..

4/4This subject came from discussing Vegas goalie Carter Hart who was accused of sexual assault…and most likely got away with it because of men like my teammates… This ofc exists in the LGBTQ+ community, but I must say, damn are straight people exhausting to be around… 😑

2/4A lot of “well I believe she was in for it, but then she backed off and ruined the guy’s life”, with me trying not to scream but being very firm with “backing off or changing your mind is still NO!!!”

3/4To me, not only is this sad and dangerous, but it’s also a realization of why the orange fascist won the election. I’m happy I at least got the change to explain this to them and get some sense into them. What if this was your sister? Your mother? Your girlfriend, wife or friend?
