i'm sure there is a *very good* reason that GPU buffers are usually written and read in multiples of 4
but that doesn't stop me from feeling like I should've been told earlier!
me at 2 weeks into a new interst:
getting outplayed at every turn by ppl who spent years of their life studying the topic and figured this out 10 years ago smh
like wdym you alr thought of the first thing I thought of after 2 minutes of thinking about it
i'm entering my shadermaxxing GPUpilled era ong
i'm not even sure why we have CPUs anymore
And Occasionally Monitor Instructions
I think the greatest misnomer in shader programming is the GPU being called a Graphics Processing Unit when in fact it is a Graphics Factory That Turns VRAM Into Different VRAM
so is this why I'm constantly looking for specific niche words that don't exist??
or at least like, cause some errors and shut down the whole GPU or something
that feeling when you keep coming up with ideas to improve the method you found in the research paper,
but every time you go back to read it you find out you just failed to read the paper properly and it's the same idea they had
