Never in my wildest imagination did I think I would be called into special session over Memorial Day weekend & have to argue that military members & their spouses deserve to have their votes counted after they already cast their ballots.
But here we are.

The answer is simple: VOTE!
Early voting starts Tuesday, May 26 at 8:30 AM. The Senate cannot reconvene until 11 AM that day.
That gives South Carolinians a real window to make their voices heard!
If a service member follows the rules, votes from overseas, and sends their ballot back, their vote should count.
Period.
“Thank you for your service” means nothing if we are willing to throw out their vote.
