Would expand this to media coverage generally. If people were just manipulated by bad reporting and commentary (as some have claimed about 2024), we wouldn’t have today’s upsurge in opposition - because it’s not like the coverage has improved.

I love this whole section of the film because, as always, it shows such great kindness to Arthur, a provincial who's way late to the party even back home. He arrives just in time for the Death of Glitter concert pretty much, but the Flaming Creatures accept him and make him feel like one of them.
