Mine is on the way as well but it had to cross the pond to get here.
I collect and read a lot of post-apocalyptic fiction. This series was on the list and I started to run across them in thrift stores etc. Now down the rabbit hole I go. Never read any of his books.
I'll have to give this a listen (I am behind on this podcast at the moment) but easy is about the last word I would use for this book.
Oh boy that's a good stack. Well done!
I have a ton of these books that came as a part of a lot that I purchased but that I have not read yet.
Wow. That's a massive commute. The extra 2 days is a significant quality of life hit.
Post-apocalyptic and disaster fiction is definitely my favourite of them all and is the one I actively try and collect for collecting sake. BDO/First contact I really enjoy reading as well though!
Gave me some tidbits to think on, but for a book that is on David Pringle's top 100 Science Fiction books, it felt very light on the SF side of things.
Just completed Angela Carter's Heroes and Villains. While more interested in the post-apocalyptic angle, the back of the book suggested it was a romance. Uh, what? It seemed like it totally tore down the idea of romantic relationships entirely. An interesting book, and well written, but also odd.
I've been slowly trying to gather up the hardcover books in the series. Have not started them yet. There are a LOT!
