1/ The sustainability transition doesnβt just advance from the top down and the bottom up β change also happens in the middle, and thatβs where most of us can make a real difference

Wow - awesome tool from @kimberlynicholas.bsky.social & Project Drawdown.
Answer a few questions & it identifies your "climate superpowers," & gives a personalized set of actions ranked by actual impact, not just the easy stuff.
It's quick & easy to see how you can help: jointheshift.earth/guide/

This debate has been at the center of much of my social media engagement for years (causing a fair bit of frustration). Yet I have never published research directly addressing it. Until now. π§΅

Riding bikes is 10X more important than electric cars for reaching net-zero cities. And thatβs just the climate emissions. Doesnβt include the massive public & personal cost difference, the air & noise pollution difference, the massive space difference, etc, etcβ¦Via @theconversation.bsky.social
Back in 2012 we did a figure comparing historical emissions to previous generations of emission scenarios. rdcu.be/brDGx
Surprisingly, the figure is still doing the rounds. We update it every year, with many interesting changes primarily due to revisions in land-use change emissions.

Another great newsletter from @kimberlynicholas.bsky.social It's really hard to strike a balance between realism, concrete action and also readability but Kim's newsletters consistently make me feel better after reading them, without sugarcoating things.
