Chuck is not the person I got to know when we served together in the Iowa House + for several years thereafter. We may have had different perspectives on key issues but I always regarded him as a person of integrity. That appears to be no longer the case and it's sad to see that's how he fades away.
Maybe he can start by rehiring some the Gazette's best long-time reporters. Proof's in the pudding.

As an attorney, I find this ruling bizarre if not inexplicable. I haven't read the opinion but from the coverage it appears the judge admits the search was unconstitutional but still grants the rouge agents absolute immunity. That's just bullshit (a technical legal term) imo.

I didn't intend to get diverted this morning. Oh, well...
This is my best recollection of some of the "recent" (1970s on) history of certain aspects of the #Hawkeyes Athletic Department operations. Part of that comes from information provided to me at that time by the individuals directly involved.
One new thing we've learned is that Chuck Schumer is an excellent spelunker. He definitely knows how to cave. And being spineless is apparently a benefit when doing so.
