Calshot Spit lightship; a painting of mine from 2021 which sold at the RSMA exhibition that year.
This ship was stationed at the approaches to Southampton, and is now sitting outside the Solent Sky museum.

Queen Mary's first approach to Southampton, 1936.
This shows the new liner passing Calshot Spit seaplane base, heading into Southampton. This is an older painting of mine, exhibiting with the RSMA in 2020.

The sequel to my previous post, this painting shows Queen Mary leaving Southampton on the ship's maiden voyage.
This was quite a complicated scene to reconstruct, with only a few grainy shots from the wrong angle to indicate what was going on.

Another Ocean Village plein air. This was painted on a fairly overcast day, but I liked the way that the large yacht in the background took over the scene. The foreground boat is a static bed and breakfast.

P&O's Britannia departing Southampton. I made this ahead of my exhibition at the South Coast boat show, and was playing around a bit with colour and plein air influence in studio pictures.

HMS Dreadnought at sea, 1907. Trying to give a sense of presence and mass to the ship that revolutionised warship design for years.

A plein air painting of Ocean Village in Southampton, made in much brighter weather than we've had here recently...
