The assertion that any team should be ashamed their academy produced a World Cup starter is asinine enough to be thrown out without any further argument. It's not like he could have played the World Cup two years sooner.
If anyone should feel "constantly ashamed", it's Miami's Academy who rejected Freeman before he came to Orlando. Even then that's with the benefit of hindsight. Things have happened exactly as they needed to for Freeman to be where he is, starting in the World Cup.
