「むつ」は何度か見てますね。79年に佐世保港に入港した時と93年だったかコミケに参加するために晴海に行く途中にあった石川島播磨で。「みらい」に改装されている所でしたが、あの特徴的な塗装はそのままの姿でした。こんな東京のど真ん中でバラしているのかと驚いた思い出。佐世保に入港してきたときは、いろんな団体が大騒ぎだったから尚更ね。

1969年の今日6月12日、原子力船「むつ」進水。図は当日発行の記念切手。世界で4番目の原子力船だったが、放射線漏れを起こし、運用は長期に渡って頓挫。平成期に数回の実験航海をした後、原子炉を撤去した。その後、船体はJAMSTECの海洋地球研究船「みらい」として運用され、世界最大級の海洋観測船として活躍。その性能を活かして、JAMSTEC初の北極航海を実現するなど、第2の人生に華があった船だった。老朽化により2025年に退役。

また少し手直し。ジェットソンズのホットウィール欲しかったなー(タイヤがついてない方) 気がついたら値段10倍くらいになってやんの。そういやFIAT S76は日本には入ってこないのかしらね？
