John Blanche was an artist who provided me with not only inspiration for the setting and my desire to kitbash models into unique weirdos, but his artwork taught me the value in using a limited pallette. Studying his artwork taught me so much about color, highlighting and contrast.
He will be missed
I finished up a Rogue Trader Space Marine for my Admech Necromunda gang.
It was an absolute joy to paint this model.

There's going to be plenty of 40K art by Blanche shown here, but I would like to take this opportunity to mention how influential Blanche was also for Age of Sigmar, not only by being the art director and fostering talent, but by his original concept art for Stormcasts, Kharadron and Nighthaunt.
