The main argument against gender-affirming care for minors that I see over and over is "they're going to get ridiculed and regret their decision when they're older" like, how wild is it to say "we shouldn't let kids transition because we're going to do everything we can to make them miserable."

Gender-affirming care for minors is not a bad thing. It’s been so needlessly demonized and the position has been so thoroughly capitulated to that I think people forget it’s actually a good thing. A Grammy award winning artist had gender affirming surgery at 16. It’s a great thing!
