Not ever feeling negative emotions is a terrible lesson to teach. Showing that there are healthy ways of feeling them and healthy ways of behaving based on those emotions is a very important lesson to teach!!

I feel like lots of people treat kids poorly that way and take frustrations out on them, so seeing an adult taking steps to avoid even the appearance of that resonates well with them
It’s something that helps to kill the impersonator-
not only relieves their worry, but seems to make them happier than they’d otherwise been
I think they not only feel reassured but also feel cared for and safe, because I’m an adult in a position of power with them and yet I’ve not only shown that I’m *able* to control my emotions, but that I’m-
syndrome in me and makes me feel good about the work I’m doing
