Seeing a million people turn out and snake through a large city is very cool, I won’t deny that
but my favorite genre of post during these protests is “small town in a red state with the biggest crowd anyone has ever seen”

It is great to see these big turnouts in these big blue cities, but the substantial turnouts in smaller red and purple cites and towns around the country are probably more important and striking.
There were ~1000 very energized people at the event in the quite purple area near where we live!
