Ten years have passed since the heartbreaking mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, where 49 lives were stolen & 53 were wounded in an act of pure hate & bigotry.
Every year that passes is another reminder that we cannot allow weapons of war to tear these gaping holes in our communities.
But ICE wants NY to use our limited criminal law enforcement officers to help them round up immigrants who have committed no crimes.
If Homan follows through with this desperate federal overreach, my office & our coalition will be on the ground to fight back.
New Yorkers will not be intimidated.

Yet the GOP chose loyalty to Trump over responsibility to the American people. Because that’s what they always do.
And it’s a further reminder that we must reject hate of all kinds because it never stops at one group.
This Pride Month, we recommit our efforts to defeat this hate, protect our LGBTQIA+ friends and neighbors, pass common-sense gun safety laws, and work to build stronger, more peaceful communities.
