Deskilling is the point of AI. Rigid subjectivities, which skilled work produces, are less desirable to the capitalist order whose entire existence is predicated on managing crises tied to and created by capital flows. It’s much easier to manage malleable, liquid subjectivities of instant ‘experts’.
