The world's richest man - perhaps the richest man who has ever lived - gloating about shutting down aid for the world's poorest people. All while posing as the champion of the common man.
The great lie of populism in its most naked and morally putrid form.
Every day, a migrant saves someone's life in an operation, teaches a child, cleans a building, is a good neighbour or parent.
That never leads the news.
No gangs rush down streets thanking people who *might* be migrants.
But as soon as an atrocity happens, all "migrants" are held responsible. 1/3
Treating any communication platform that algorithmically selects which content to put in front of a user as a publisher, and legally responsible for that content, is the screamingly obvious solution that will deeply upset maybe seven companies and make life considerably better.

A statement from the family:

One of the obvious problems with a under-16 social media ban is that it won't work. (60%+ of Australian under-16s are still using these platforms).
But it will make people feel like something has been done so they won't tackle the content, which is the real issue.
