Imv, what the TV companies say they offer ("analysis") is not necessarily what the actually sell and what many people watch for, which is "talking points" The audience is changing over time, towards more/better actual analysis. The newer, mostly female pundits are at the front of this curve

A bit embarrassing how much better the women pundits are at the world cup - Emma Hayes and Ellen White actually talk about tactics and strategy rather than endless banal cliches.
