PhD in Rennes! Study how OGG1 repairs oxidative DNA damage using advanced microscopy. Join Sébastien Huet’s team at IGDR (Oct 2026). Master’s in cell biology/biophysics? Apply: [email protected] #PhD #CancerResearch #Microscopy
In this study, we reveal that OGG1’s association with DNA during lesion searching involves local DNA distortion, promoting base unstacking. This process is tightly regulated by conserved amino acids encircling the double helix, ensuring stable binding without compromising rapid scanning.
