As I appear to be MIA - I was sure I wrote a post about the why at the end of 2025... Either I imagined that, wrote it only in my head, or I did write it but it didn't send as it ought to (BSky had its problems at that time) - a quick word on that:
I'm alive. Just taking a break from social media.β¬οΈ
I'll be back, eventually, I only have no idea if that will be in a few weeks, months, or maybe at the end of this year or somewhen during the next.
My neurodivergent (AuDHD) burnout hasn't got any better over the course of the last couple of months, if anything it got worse. I just need a break.ππ
the last two years, so I'm pretty much concentrating on reading books that I feel like they don't urgently need more reviews (i.e. mostly TradPub & indies with a lot of readers), so that ratings suffice.
For those who're curious about what I'm reading: check the book platforms I'm using (see bio).β¬οΈ
I will, occasionally, check my DMs (it might takes weeks or months, however). But aside of that I'm trying to pretty much stay away from social media at the moment. Not enough spoons - and much too a short a fuse - for all the bs going on online.
I also burned myself out on writing reviews over β¬οΈ
Many thanks to @lacrimamundi.bsky.social for voting Shadowbeast as one of the 'best books of 2025'. I'm incredibly grateful for all the wonderful reviews <3

Can confirm as both a migraine sufferer and a huge fan of these books!
