This confirms the analysis from polling done by @waytowinus.bsky.social and others -- the issues that are affecting the popularity of the Democratic Party don't stem from ideology -- they come from a perception that the Party is weak.
A new poll from the New York Times shows potential Democratic voters want the party to move to the right, are happy with where it is ideologically, and rate socialism highly. Huh?
