On Nov. 1 and 2, 8 SCN volunteers set up WiFi at Rosie's LIHI Tiny House Village. With heavy rain all day, they spent day 1 running cable across the property to 6 WAP locations to blanket the whole village with a consistent signal, and day 2 setup 5G modems and PoE fundraiser.seattlecn.org #seattle
On June 13, and 14, several volunteers from the Seattle Community Network installed networking equipment including routers, access points, and cabling to enable broadband internet access for the residents at the Y K Building at 110 14th Ave., in Seattle. #seattlecommunitynetwork #seattle
We've been partnering with fultel.net to put Connections (lffc.us/connections/) at seattlecommunityfridge.org/ sites to provide free WiFi and landline phone service at each fridge; so far, we've installed them at their Dunlap and Estelita's Library locations! Here are photos of our Dunlap install:
