With no noted dissents, SCOTUS refuses to take up the case of Pauline Newman, a 98-year-old judge on the Federal Circuit who has been stripped of her caseload over allegations that she is in severe mental decline. Newman has become a conservative cause célèbre for reasons that are inscrutable to me.
