and to be rational: they want the US to make israel stop bombing lebanon. the US said it would do that. the US is not doing that. why the hell wouldn’t the iranians say “ok so i guess no deal? how’s that sound?”

they clearly realized months ago that the number one priority of the person in charge is simply getting to say the words “look at this deal i made” and with every passing day he gets a little more desperate. only makes sense to ask for everything and then some more.
