I'm begging you all to work backwards from an assumed situation. Is the number one world class vendor of a game development engine, one that works with billions and billions of dollars of IP, really going to make their flagship product *completely incompatible* with copyright?

All that doesn’t mean a publisher won’t say no to you for including AI generation in your workflow (which the OP gets into in replies), but that’s risk management and discomfort with the idea they might not be able to stop someone else using an asset, not a hardline rule that (C) doesn’t exist.
