🥱 You’re busy, you’re tired, and you can barely think about what you need to do for tomorrow, let alone in a year’s time. So why is it worth putting all those reasons aside and applying to become a Secondary Mastery Specialist?
👋 Hello teachers of Bluesky We’re Sussex Maths Hub, working with schools and teachers across Sussex to strengthen maths teaching and learning - from early years to post-16.
Join our community of Local Leaders of Maths Education in 2026/27! www.sussexmathshub.co.uk/professional...
Primary>Focus on shape & story. When is it speeding up / slowing down? Why isn’t it a straight line? Secondary-KS3>Link to acceleration & gravitational pull of Earth & Moon. Sketch a distance-time graph. Where is the speed increasing / decreasing? Why? What does the area under the graph represent?
The NCETM Secondary Mastery Specialist programme is such a fantastic opportunity for Secondary Maths Teachers. If you're in Sussex and ready to take the next step, you can apply through our website here: PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES | Sussex Maths Hub share.google/GrcnUAsnOIGr...
NASA has announced today the launch will likely be delayed to March following some issues with the wet launch. Still, very exciting! We'll be keeping an eye on out for the launch!
In February 2026, the Artemis II project is due to send four astronauts aboard Orion on a free return trajectory around the Moon. Can your students sketch a realistic distance–time graph for the whole journey and explain the key features? (Hint: The spacecraft won’t travel at a constant speed!)
Secondary–KS4>Challenging assumptions. How do gravity, escape velocity & modelling choices affect gradients and turning points? View the mission map: www.nasa.gov/missions/art... Meet the Crew: www.nasa.gov/.../artemis-... #PracticalMaths #Maths #NASA #ArtemisII
We’ll be sharing updates, professional development opportunities, and insights from our work with local schools. Looking forward to learning and sharing together. 🔗 www.sussexmathshub.co.uk #MathsEducation #UKTeachers #PrimaryMaths #SecondaryMaths #EarlyYears #Post16 #TeacherPD #MathsChat
